First form of American Baseball

This is an image of trap ball equiptment. Trap ball was the first baseball game played in America. It was formed in the 18th century. The batter would hit the wooden trap with the bat, then hit a leather ball into the air. This was played at Colonial Williamsburg. This shows that baseball has been played in America a lot longer than in Japan. This means that baseball is more America's pastime than Japan's.
